around Capri looking for the hidden treasures

Hidden views of Capri

Secret spots

DESCRIPTION:

Capri is a jewel of the Amalfi peninsula and the best way to discover the island is walking and breathing the special atmosphere along the tiny pedestrian alleys.

We walk around the most scenery and wild part of Capri to fully enjoy its natural beauty: the spectacular views of the Faraglioni rocks, the steep rocky limestone walls facing the deep blue of the crystalline water, the flora of the mediterranean area, with lots of colored flowers, the smell of the natural wild herbs mixed with the salty air.

But Capri is also the history of the Roman empire: in a great spot facing the peninsula the emperor Tiberius lived in the Villa Jovis, now a ruin looking as a fortress.

Capri and the modern architecture with lots of examples of exclusive works: the Via Krupp, the villa Malaparte, the Villa San Michele, the Casa Rossa.

ITINERARY:

We can take the ferry from the port of Amalfi, Positano or Salerno to Capri or, if you prefer, we can meet directly in Capri.

From Marina Grande (the main port in Capri) we go up to the historic center walking or we can take the Funicular. We'll visit the "Piazzetta" where we can stop for a coffee break or we can start our walk around the island.

We go first to visit the ruin of the Tiberius Roman villa, then we go on visiting the natural arch and the Matermania Grotto to end with the view of "I faraglioni" and of "Marina Piccola".

We come back to the centre and we have more time to visit the Via Krupp leading to the other port "Marina piccola" or the garden of Augustus and the Certosa di San Giacomo.

We can also take a private boat to go and visit the Blu Grotto and for a trip around the island (this tour will take 2 hours) or simply have a swim on the beach next to Marina Grande.

We have many choices and we'll decide at the moment.
