A taste of Amalfi Coast

DESCRIPTION:

A tour off the beaten path to discover the village of Tramonti, with its culture in producing wine.

 

We visit a small wine factory owned by the same family since 1970. They produce wine using a very old and traditional grape, the so-called "Piedirosso, Bianca Tenera, Bianca Zita, Ginestra, Pepella e Tintore". Their vineyard was planted in the early 1900.

 

We can visit, together with the owner, the vineyards where he will explain us the peculiarity of the grapes for then continue visiting the factory, where we can also have a tasting of red and white wine, with some salami and cheese, locally made.

 

We can also decide to have lunch/dinner there or to go in on of the best restaurant of the coast, or maybe go in a family farm house where we can have a lunch/dinner in a vineyard surrounded by a gorgeous nature.

 

This village is very reach of choices, I can adapt the program to your wishes.

* we can combine this tour with a visit of Ravello

ITINERARY:

We meet directly in Tramonti or, if you don't have your own car, we can meet in Ravello, Amalfi or Salerno

 

We drive up to Tramonti where we can have a nice walk to discover this rural village between the mountains (Tramonti means "between the mountains").

Its economy is based on wine production as well as on mozzarella production.

 

We then go and visit a family winery and tasting its special wine.

The owner will bring us to discover its vineyards with the traditional grapes, and let us understand the secret of the production.

 

Finally we taste 4 different kind of wine with a tasting of local products (salami, cheese, bread).

 

OPTIONS:We can also extend this tour going to have lunch/dinner in one of the best restaurant of the coast, or we can do an hike on some walking paths with great views.
