A taste of Amalfi Coast

DESCRIPTION:

This tour is perfect to understand the history of the coast, visit three of its most fascinating villages and enjoy some of the most astonishing views.

We start from Ravello, with its sumptuous villas: Villa Cimbrone, its marvelous gardens and the "Infinity terrace" facing the sea from the height of 400 meters;the Cathedral with its mosaic of "Giona and the whale".
If we're lucky we'll see a weeding in the cathedral!

You have time for shopping: ceramics and sandals are produced here, and to enjoy a light lunch on a terrace facing the coast.

A nice descending walk into the Dragon valley will lead us to Atrani, a tiny village looking like a nativity scene. You can be lost in the tiny alleys around the main square!

Around the corner we find Amalfi, once a powerful independent republic in the Mediterranean area, its majestic moorish cathedral, the main square with many cafes, where you can taste the Lemon delight and enjoy the special atmosphere!

 

ITINERARY:

We start our tour in the main square of Ravello, we can visit the Cathedral with a beautiful mosaic of "Jona and the whale", the Villa Cimbrone with the "english style" gardens and the astonishing "Infinity terrace" overlooking the sea.

You have time for shopping, to visit the ceramic shops and enjoy the atmosphere for a while, then we have a light lunch in a nice spot, another terrace with a great view of the coast!

After lunch we start our walk in the Dragon valley: in 1 hour following an old connection path (we have some steps and some bits of the main road)we reach Atrani, a tiny village caught between the sea and the mountains.

We then continue walking for 15 minuets more to arrive in Amalfi where you have time to visit the Cathedral by your own, or enjoy the specialities of the best patisserie of the coast.
